WHAT IT IS: A password manager and digital wallet that keeps your digital life secure. You will end up with literally one password.

WHY WE LIKE IT: People often ask for our favorite go-to apps or websites, which is a tall task (there are so many!) But, if we had to choose one that saves us the most time, 1Password would be at the top of the list.

This tool solves a problem that everyone can relate to—the increasing number of passwords that we’re required to use over and over again on a daily basis. Who can remember them all? Or come up with clever, secure, and memorable passwords for hundreds of different websites? It’s a challenge for all of us!

1Password saves you time and keeps your data secure whether you are logging into a website or app or shopping online. Simply select one “master password” that will allow you access to all of your passwords and other sensitive information like credit cards and bank accounts. Ideally, it will be something unique and meaningful that only you will know.

The app stores your digital life in a vault, keeping track of passwords you already have and making it easy to change them frequently. There is even a “Strong Password Generator” that helps you come up with complicated and more secure passwords. Install it on your computer, phone, and tablet and sync across devices. Plus, you can create additional shared vaults, so that you can give family members and/or colleagues access to information.

While the setup is not simple and takes a bit of time, the payoff is enormous because your passwords are in one place and you can rest assured that they’re secure (via SSL encryption.)

HOW MUCH IT COSTS: A one-time fee of $64.99. (There are special discount offers from time to time.) They also offer 1Password for Families for a $5 monthly subscription.

NOW, TAKE THE FIRST STEP: Visit 1password.com or the iTunes store, purchase 1Password, and choose your “master password”. Start saving your usernames and passwords now, and you will save tons of time down the road.
