WHAT IT IS: A learning platform for tech courses. Interactive. Friendly.

skillcrush-appWHY WE LIKE IT: We know what you’re thinking: you do NOT want to learn how to code! Fine. But first, check out Skillcrush, founded by the impressive Yale grad Adda Birnir. You will be fascinated to simply get (and read) her helpful and entertaining emails. You will learn!

Adda’s ‘story’ is amazing: she was laid off from her job in 2009, taught herself to code, and is a now a passionate advocate for demystifying tech and technical skills (true: all that from a fine arts major!) Skillcrush offers many different online courses from WordPress to Web Development. There are even “Career Blueprint” options: three-month step-by-step programs for specific tech-related jobs.

Whether you want to improve your digital skills, start freelancing, switch to a career in tech, or simply familiarize yourself with tech lingo, Skillcrush is a great place to get started.

HOW MUCH IT COSTS: No charge to receive emails and register for the Coding Bootcamp. Single classes start at $175. Career Blueprints are $149/month.

NOW, TAKE THE FIRST STEP: Visit skillcrush.com and try their free 10-Day Coding Bootcamp! It’s a great intro to the world of tech. You’ll be throwing out terms like HTML and CSS in no time! You can also sign up for their newsletter and check out their class offerings.P.S. The next Career Blueprint sessions start on September 12th!
