WHAT IT IS: “Your Restaurant Decider.” Restaurant guides and reviews that are both entertaining and useful.

the-infatuation1WHY WE LIKE IT: We’re constantly on the lookout for a good restaurant recommendation and The Infatuation always delivers. Founded by two friends who wanted to share suggestions with their friends, it’s a place where you can find reviews written by regular folks—all served up in a humorous, fun, and thoroughly unprententious way.

The Infatuation definitely isn’t your run-of-the-mill restaurant review site. Sure, you can search for restaurant by neighborhood or cuisine, but they also deliver places that are “Perfect For” a wide range of occasions. For example, Chicago diners will discover unique topics like “15 Restaurants to Have a Client Dinner That Aren’t Steakhouses” or “The Best Happy Hour Oyster Deals”.

Other fun features are their “Greatest Hits” and “Hit List” that highlight the must-dine as well as brand-new spots in town respectively, or “Friday Fives”, where celebrities share their favorite (you guessed it) five restaurants. And coming soon: a service called “Text Rex” that allows you to request a restaurant rec via text. It’s currently in beta (which means they’re testing it out) and we can’t wait to try it. It will be like having a personal concierge at your fingertips!

The Infatuation is currently in seven cities: Austin, Chicago, Denver, L.A., New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. Apologies in advance if you become infatuated with The Infatuation!

HOW MUCH IT COSTS: It’s free.

NOW, TAKE THE FIRST STEP: Visit their website and sign up for The Infatuation newsletter, check out their mobile app and (if you’re adventurous) get on the beta list for “Text Rex”. You can also follow them on Instagram @infatuation where they tag all their food photos with the hashtag #EEEEEATS. Happy dining!
