WHY WE LIKE IT: Who doesn’t like to receive mail the “old fashioned” way? This UK-based company has invented a fun way to send real postcards. TouchNote is super easy and quick to use: simply pick a photo from your camera roll, add a message and address (anywhere in the world!), and voilà—TouchNote prints and sends the postcard to its destination!
The TouchNote app allows you to use a single photo or up to six photos for a collage. Images can be rotated, cropped, or zoomed. Captions can be added to the photos, too. Another great time-saving feature is that addresses are automatically saved so re-typing is not necessary. Looking for gift ideas? The company also offers frames, canvases, greeting cards, and photo books.
P.S. There is also a business program worth checking out (yes—think small business customized direct mail pieces.)
HOW MUCH IT COSTS: The app is free, but it costs money to “buy’”a credit (one postcard = one credit); for now the all-in costs are less than $2.00 per card. There is a single pricing point no matter where in the world the card is sent. We really like the premium version—packages range from $2.49 to $7.99 monthly—where you basically buy credits in bulk and get frequent-shopper type benefits including free cards. Plus, you can add a map of your photo location or turn your photos into postage stamps.
